Speech and Language Therapy

Alison and Jo have both been working in Canterbury for over 15 years. They both have an interest in helping people with their communication and swallowing difficulties. Both are highly experienced in aged care, acquired and progressive neurological disorders and long-standing health issues.

They can provide assessment and treatment for:

– Communication (speech and/or language)

– Voice

– Swallowing

– Saliva Management

Associated with neurological diseases, ageing, and/or acquired changes

Education/training for:

– Optimising communication

– Voice hygiene and care

– Voice care for teachers or professionals

– Safe swallowing

Education regarding voice care, and provision of voice therapy are also strong areas of personal interest for both of our Voice therapists. Both Alison and Jo are registered members of the New Zealand Speech Therapy Association (MNZSTA).
